Ulrich RUEFLI

Architect - Project Leader

Born and raised in German-speaking Switzerland, Ueli studied architecture in Rome and Paris. Following a spell in Joël Claisse’s practice upon his arrival in Belgium in 2004, he joined forces with ArtBuild in 2007.

With in-depth skills in the hospital and residential sectors having overseen a slew of projects since 2009, Ueli’s experience sees him managing the follow-up of large-scale projects efficiently and within the constraints of deadlines and budgets, supervising the projects he manages both in the study phase and in the implementation phase.

A quick look at his accomplishments in health sector supervision shows design work for the URM Purpan building at Toulouse University Hospital and the new Mother and Child Centre at Roubaix University Hospital. Residential projects include the design and construction of the Universalis Park project in Brussels comprising 160 housing units, and the Andenne city centre revitalisation project encompassing several residential buildings, a public car park and communal services.

In addition to his mastery of functional, technical, and budgetary aspects, Ueli attaches great importance to the integration of sustainable development initiatives in the construction process and has acquired skills in timber construction through a solid sequence of projects.
