Cédric CALLENS

A multilingual architect with a degree from Sint-Lucas Brussel, Cédric launched his own practice in Brussels in the 2000s following a spell in Santiago de Chile and time spent with two Brussels offices.

As co-manager of Delices Architects (then DXA), he worked on a highly varied series of projects at different scales, from the traditional renovation of a Brussels house to the transformation of a Mosan estate into a sustainable hotel, from a wooden treehouse to an urban skatepark, and a series of passive housing complexes.

His ability to listen and his versatility have enabled him to successfully deliver all the projects with which he has been involved, be it from near or far.

The need to give a new meaning to his work as an architect brought Cédric to ArtBuild in October 2021, attracted by the practice’s culture of innovation and collective intelligence, and the way forward to a new way of building looks wide open, fuelled by the climate challenge that faces us. No better than the father of four lovely children to remind of that.
